Disclosures: NO DISCLOSURE ON FILE

Dr. Stacy Drury is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. She completed her MD and PhD (Genetics) at Louisiana State University and her adult and child psychiatry residencies at Tulane University.  She currently directs the NIH funded Telomere Research Network and has federally funded research projects in multiple states across the United States, as well as in Suriname, Sierra Leone, and Romania.  Both her clinical work and her own research focus on the parent-child relationship as a critical buffer against the effects of early life adversity within and across generations. Her transdisciplinary research seeks to define the biological mechanisms through which adversity, including trauma, violence, child maltreatment, racism, and structural inequity drive negative mental and physical health outcomes and health disparities.
