Overview

Asthma is the most common chronic illness of childhood, affecting almost 7 million children in the United States. Poorly controlled asthma limits activities, interferes with school attendance and can result, all too often, in emergency department visits and hospitalizations. Our challenge remains to provide safe and effective treatment of asthma and allergies. We developed this program to provide a forum to discuss current topics related to the diagnosis and management of pediatric asthma and allergy with primary care providers, who care for the majority of these children.

This years course will be presented in a fully digital format via Zoom.

Topics will include:

  • Asthma and COVID-19
  • Management of Acute Asthma in the Emergency Room
  • Novel Allergy Interventions and more
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be better able to:
  1. Recognize the impact of COVID-19 on asthma.
  2. Develop strategies to diagnose and manage patients with asthma exacerbations.
  3. Effectively utilize consultants for diagnosing and managing allergies.

Registration
  • Physicians: $175.00
  • Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, School Nurses: $75.00
  • Trainees: $75.00

Pre-registration is required. Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation email with a registration receipt. Course access instructions will be sent 24 hours prior to the course launch. Please use an email you check frequently to ensure that you receive all of this important information.
