Beverly Hospital 2017 Pediatric Health Care Summit

Boston Children’s Hospital and Beverly Hospital, a member of Lahey Health, present the Beverly Hospital 2017 Pediatric Health Care Summit, a free, community-based continuing medical education (CME) seminar. This half-day course is designed to inform pediatric primary care providers of the changing trends in the management of common health concerns among children.

Please join us on Tuesday, April 25 for presentations and discussions focused on topics that are relevant and timely to pediatric practices.

1. Describe the three elements of a methodology for managing fear and establishing trust in children
2. Discuss the cue channels and behavioral features used to accurately assess a child’s emotional state
3. Explain the interactive techniques used to manage fear and establish trust in children
4. Review the epidemiology of common and emerging drugs of abuse
5. Discuss tips for patient assessment and management
6. Discuss how to negotiate confidentiality when caring for adolescents with substance use disorders
7. Describe the principals of Insulin Therapy and Diabetes Management Goals
8. State education goals for patient and their families

The Pediatric Health Care Summit is a complimentary CME course provided by Boston Children’s Hospital and Beverly Hospital, a member of Lahey Clinic. Space is limited and reservations will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. Please register by Friday, April 21st.
